Smokey Eyes

So this is probably my go to look for just about any occasion. I love the smokey eye look because there are a thousand ways you can customize it and make it your own. I have been doing this look since 9th grade. I had to do it in choir for 3 years. Wearing it basically every day in December because of performances. I made that black eye shadow my bitch! Not really...but still. I have had people over the years ask me to show them or tell them my secret *boast boast* But in all reality...I don't have one...So I figured I'd just post it and hopefully someone could learn something from it...

Now some people are going to get a little freaked out by the order of things but just stay with me on this!

We are going to start with the eye makeup. Not foundation! Keep it together, change is good sometimes! Here is why we do this. If you have ever experienced fallout, the eye shadow that falls everywhere you don't want it (Cheeks, nose, under eye area), when you use dark eye shadow this is going to change your life!!! If you don't have concealer and foundation on you don't have to worry about messing up what you have already done by wiping off the fall out!!! Bam! Take that physics!

1. Prime your eyes!!! I can't stress this enough!!! I don't care if you use primer, creme eye shadow, concealer balm, or white eyeliner(Thanks Pinterest!) Just do it!!!! This makes blending all this dark stuff SOOOO much easier!

2. Take a black (or your darkest shade if you are doing a different color scheme) and apply it to the outer corner of your eye lid. Think of dividing your eyelid into 4 even sections. This is your #4 color. Remember that for later.

3. Take a gunmetal grey (or second darkest color) and apply next to the black. don't worry about blending just yet. This is your #3 color.

4. Now take a light grey (Second lightest color) and add next to the dark grey. This is #2.

5. And last take a white or a color that is a step lighter than your skin tone with some shimmer (lightest shade) and add this to the rest of the eyelid and inner corner by the tear ducts. This is #1.

6. This is what it should be looking like. Not blended.

7. Now here is where you can get in touch with your inner blender(get it??? Blending...oh shut up I'm hilarious) You are going to take a fluffy brush and blend colors 4 and 3 together. (just go back and forth. Not hard.)

8. Wipe off the brush and blend 3 and 2.

9. Now blend 2,3, and 4.

10. Wipe off the brush really well. And take the lightest shade and swipe it in one long motion all the way to #4. Do this a few times if you want a lighter look.

11. This is what you should get...If you want a darker, more dramatic look. You can add more black and blend it so it looks nice. Otherwise there you go!

12. Now with a sponge, tissue or your luck crooked pinky get rid of the fall out!

13. Apply foundation and whatnot. Add highlight by taking a small amount of shimmery white and applying to the brow bone. Make sure this gets blended so you don't look like a circus clown ;D

14. Now eyeliner, mascara, brows, and lipstick. Keep the face "low drama" if you want your peepers to have all the attention. But if you are like me and you love drama (on your face. not in your life) go on and get some of that gradient lipstick on your face!

15. Now put on something cute and knock em dead!!!

P.s. Sorry for not being 100% on the pictures. I was in a time crunch and my hands weren't very stable. If you have questions, ask!

P.s.s. I am now going to start Halloween makeup tutorials if you have any requests let me know and I will be sure to get those up!!

Thanks guys, good luck!!! <3
