Gradient Lipstick

I got a lot of questions about my gradient or duo tone lipstick. Now that fall is here it's a great time to play around with darker shades of lipstick. But if you want something a bit more than just a plain dark red/purple/brown or even a nude lipstick, a gradient is a great way to go. This look can make lips look fuller and is a great way to spice up a classy or edgy look!

Ok now there are 2 ways you can achieve this look. There are tons of color combinations you can use! Makeup has no set rules so if you don't like the colors of lipstick I use red lipstick...DON'T USE IT!!! Use nudes, browns, plums, pinks, or any other color you can come up with.

The Prep:

1: Brush your teeth. I have found that lipstick sticks less on freshly brushed teeth. After you are done with that scrub your toothbrush on your lips. This exfoliates your lips. Getting off any dead skin.
2: Lip balm it! This makes lips nice and smooth and prevents flaking.
3: Put your face on!
4: Put some concealer on your lips. This will get rid of any unwanted redness and give you a "blank canvas" in case you want to make your lips bigger or even out anything.

Next pick which way suits you best.

#1 Lipstick on lipstick. This is the simplest way to achieve the look. It also gives a more natural look.

1: Line the lips if you don't have a matching lip liner use the tip of the lipstick. Lip liner gives you a solid outline and makes everything look more put together.
2: Fill in with your base color. For a natural look this should be the lighter color and its focus should be the center of the lips.
3: Add your darker color to the corner of your lips and blend by rubbing your lips together.
4: Fight the urge to duck face...

#2 Eye shadow on lipstick...what???? Yeah! @#$% the police!!!...jk. Cops are good people! >.> This is my favorite look. I would wear it on a daily whereas normal people would only wear it on like Halloween. Thats how the Kaily do!
1: Line and fill in lips. Filling in your lips with lip liner is like a primer for your lipstick.
2: Lipstick!!!!
3: Take a highly pigmented eye shadow and apply to the corners of your lips
4: Blend by rubbing lips together as shown. Alternating until you have it the way you want it.
5: Clean up your mess
6: Suck on your pinky...loljk. run a clean finger through your lips as shown. This will keep prevent any awkward "you have lipstick on your teeth" moments.

Well Thats it! Pretty easy right?! Remember that there really aren't rules for make up. Try some different colors and techniques. Find something that suits you perfectly!

Everyday Makeup

Well here it is. The first tutorial!!! Yaaaay. This is my everyday look. Its very basic and simple. Hope you enjoy!!!

1.I like to start out with a really good moisturizer. Let dry and lets begin!!
2. Foundation, concealer, powder, whatever else you like to do. I don't know your life!
3. This is my "Ghetto Primer" it is a creme based eye shadow that is the same color as my skin. This will make eye shadow more vibrant and last longer. I don't like to buy $30+ eye primers when a $5-$10 product will do the same thing!
4. Apply primer with a clean fingertip all over lid.
5. Apply a shimmery champagne color to 2/3 of the lid.
6. Apply a matte brown to the crease and outer third of the lid. This will add depth to the eyes.
7. Blend!!!
8. It should look like this once blended and softened.
9. Apply a gel liner on the top lid (Add a little wing if you are feeling retro haha)and pack black eye shadow on top to make it last all day. Apply a shimmery ivory or off white color to the inner corner of the eye and blend across the bottom lash line.
10. Curl(optional) and add mascara generously to the top and very lightly to the bottom(you only want to darken the bottom not make them spidery). Fill in brows(optional)
11. Add a clear gloss to the lips and voila!

First Post Excitement!!!

If there are two things that I am incredibly good at, it would be smearing cosmetics onto my skin and coming up with awful ways to start writing essays/stories/Facebook updates/tweets/projects/and apparently blog posts. So lets just awkwardly dive right in, shall we?

I have wanted to write blog stuff for about two years but I have never bothered because I didn't have the time nor the motivation. But now that my life is boring enough to have time but not boring enough to still be able to post fun things, I figured, eh why not.

I am an abyss of beauty knowledge and know more that I should about it at my age. You want bigger looking eyes? Let me write you a book about it. Want to contour your face good? Go somewhere else...because that @#$% is hard...loljk...but seriously. So here, have my knowledge.

Well as much as I would love to sit at my computer typing the day away I really need to shower and wash off two days worth of flaking off eyeliner and mascara. Gross right? I know. Greasy hair...DON'T CARE. Let a b#$%& be lazy ight? Ight. So I'm off to get clean but stick around, and watch everything get all sorts of dirty. Loljk keeping this PG-13ish.

Naked time.

Stay in school kids.
